I found that if you saw the mounting ears off the battery, and put a block of wood under it,a slightly bigger one will fit in the bent metal mount under the floor. The heavier the battery, the more lead, the larger the amps. 24 series?- it's been 25 years since I put a battery into a 1/2t.
