Well, the basics are, check the oil in the air cleaner about once a week or so, depending on how much you use the truck. If I recall right, most books I have read say to change the oil in your air cleaner at every engine oil change... When you change the oil, wash the air cleaner thorougly in Kerosene or Diesel fuel...Then when its clean, and you refill, there should be a 'full' mark, in the air cleaner base bowl. Generally, oil bath air cleaners use 1-2 quarts of oil. do not overfill it. I would not worry about it when off roading, and if the truck is running good, just keep running it. "If it aint broke, dont fix it!" Have fun!
