I went with a Jordan Digital Proportional. It is a direct connection to the brake pedal with aircraft SS cable. Whatever presure you apply to the brake pedal instantly, at the same time provides the same braking on the trailer. I hooked it up today and took my Gooseneck out for a ride. After setting the 1 control for proper braking, I headed down our mountain. I have never had trailer control like I do now. ITs all extreemly smooth and positive. I did some emergency stops on the level and it tracked and stopped great.

You can set the controller for different loads (trucks). Then depending on what truck is on the trailer, you just crank in that value. No hit or miss or trial. I have used de-accelorometer type controls my entire life. I am sold.

The guys on the TDR (hauling and Towing) who are pulling heavy loads over (the Grape Vine and Wolf Creek Pass) where ever that is, swear by the Jordan.
