Paint is one thing easy to wash off. Now the fun part it you were in the mud pits pulling the drums to clean inside them, draining the fluids to make sure no water is in the cases, pulling the hubs to clean and re/pack the bearings and don't forget to re/grease the chassie lube points! I allways wonder with all these trucks I see going into the mud and under water if they do this to protect and keep the truck in good shape. I wonder if it may be one of the reasons they get sold later on too? Just part of the fun playing with these trucks. You should have seen the dirt inside the Wheel Cylinders on these brakes and what was stuck to the insides when I pulled the drums to clean and repair the brakes in my M-37! Mark H.
