I talked with Mark last night and he gave me the same info from his Military Power Wagon Service Manual.

This is the same way mine came apart, and the way I have it illustrated is wrong.

Install this way now seems to make sense and works with the manual page right side up.

I updated the image in the above post to illustrate my error so as to not continue to confuse others.
