The piston, or more to the point, the piston rings provide the most friction in a fresh rebuild, ( remember the cross hatching which is needed to seat the rings) provided you plasti-gaged the bearings to the right specs. If you still want to try this at least remove the spark plugs so you are not working against compression and put oil in the cylinders. I would still rather burn up a $20.00 drill than a $200.00 stater motor and ruin the rings. Ever wonder why some guys rebuilt engines smoke long after a normal "break-in" period???
