I made a visit to the civic center today. I wanted to look at the ordinance I'm supposed to be in violation of. I don't know what those people are smoking but they need to come up for air. When I found the proper ordinance (the number I got was for something completely different) there was nothing said about selling my own car. I was told the interpretation by the inspector was good enough but there is nothing in the ordinance that says I can't sell my own vehicle.
The high point of my visit was a visit to the county commissioners office. One of the commissioners was in the office and called asking about the city ordinances being used in the county rather than the county ones. (Code enforcement is a combined city/county agency) She used a speaker phone while I was there. The individual who sent me the letter stated that she would mind her business and the commissioner should mind her own. I expect to see a new enforcement officer soon.
