I'm about to put my engine (218ci. bored 60 over) back into my 1950 PW. Right now I have a rolling chassis. Cab and bed are off for welding, sheet metal repair, blasting and painting.

Dissassembled, cleaned, repaired, painted and replaced everything including frame, axles, wheels, transfer case, transmission, drive shafts, U-joints, differentials, clutch, brakes, fuel lines, gas tank, water pump, radiator, manifolds, starter, generator, solenoid, oil filter, air cleaner, etc. Purchased new exhaust system, new higher volume oil pump, new fuel filter.

The things I haven't done yet are the distributor, carburator, steering gear box and wheel, and wiring harness (considering 12 volt upgrade). What tips do you guys have about these items, pre-lubing the engine, and general sequence of reassembly and installation from this point. I've waited six months for the engine and don't want to mess things up or have to go back and do things twice. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
