I have finally found the VIN's on the left frame in front of the front tire but have this question. They are in terrible shape due to rust etc. The numbers were not heavily stamped in. Is there anything that can be placed on the metal to enhance the numbers stamped. I have seen acid used on cast metal to raise numbers but will that work on steel. Any ideas? also, are the number stamps they used still available?
