I've never replaced kingpins on a pw, but I have on several 50's caddys. I am not aware of what can be done to tighten them as they sit inside a bushing at each end. Replacing them is not to difficult, but you will probably need a tool (I don't recall the name) to ream out the bushings enough that the pins will slip through them when installed. You can find this tool at most older garages (probably from most of your major tool companies too). Be very careful when reaming the bushings not to over-ream or you'll have just as sloppy a fit as you seem to have now. This is all pretty vague, but the procedure is more time consuming than difficult. Good luck & have fun. Dick Rogers
