I trying to way my options about how to make my '47 PW go a little faster. I don't want to swap my engine very bad, I don't want to change transmisions, and I really don't think I want bigger tires as i don't want broken axles. Thatleaves me with changing the rear end gears. What is the gear ratio it would need to get it to go near 60 MPH? How would this affect its offroading, and how does the little engine do with it? Also how much would this cost? I've thought about it and I'm thinking this would be the best way without hurting the integrity of the truck, what are your opinions?
Also, in the sake of getting better gas mileage, would a different carburator help?
Thanks a lot
Drew
