I don't have a new ram, but a 77 W-100 with 3.55 gears, an auto, and 36" tires. It came with these tires when I bought it, and I can almost beat it off the line in my 88 volvo (week i4). I hate it this way, even though the last owner added an rv cam, an edelbrock intake, holley projection, and a 360 (it had a 318) to try to improve on the performance. In about a month I am going to get 4.10 gears and 35" tires because the 3.55 really suck and are ment for >31" tires. Personally i would just try to swap to 3.90 if I was going to only run 33".
