I've seen a Nissan SD33T in a M37 and it's tight. I realize that some of this is besause of the length but there also wasn't much room left over in the width department either. The 6.9/7.3L Navistars are wide and even if you could shoehorn one into a M37 it would be a bitch to work on.
Just my thoughts.
