I have heard of folks having their rims welded up so that they could mount tubeless tires. Have no idea if practical or not. Best bet is to go to Truck Tire shop and let them handle it. I had a local man who did farmer's tractor tires do mine. He did it without any safety devices. I told him I would go get a cup of coffee and come back later after he had finished. Turned out he had been mounting these babies for years and knew just how to do it. I wasn't interested in learning. He charged me 4 bucks a wheel to mount them.
