Saturday morning can be kind of busy at the registration booth because a lot of people are arriving that morning. If you preregister, it would be a faster experience as you will not have to exchange money, fill out name tags, etc. on the spot. You can still walk in and register but if you do it by mail or by email, and you beat the deadline, there is an early register discount.
