those four little metal clips to hold it in too - not just the rubber.

I find it best to superglue the ends of the rubber togther to get a decent fit, then put the seal in the panel, the glass in the seal, fit clips to the inside - then put a bead of black sealer round between the glass and the seal outside to keep it watertight.
