The glass shop I stopped at today, said they could get some different rubber to hold a 1/4" piece of glass, but it would be too loose in the channel I bought.
I called VPW, and they suggested double panes. I called two glass shops and neither thought two panes was a good idea.
Was the glass a snug fit in your rubber? The groove in my rubber is about 3/8" wide.
