I switched over to the load straps that are used on semi trailers too. The local truck stops have the straps for about $20 each and the ratchet winches for about $25 each. I run a strap from the front of the trailer, over the rear differential tube and,back to the front of the trailer. I run a second strap from the rear of the trailer, over the front differential tube and back to the rear of the trailer. I then tighten the ratchet winches very tight. They work much better than chains, which I had used for many years prior to switching to straps.
