Will...that is the correct order. The end of the pitman arm goes between the "sockets" and the drag link end goes between the "sockets" Don't ask me which end gets the pitma arm ball I have forgotten. I had to try it twice to get it correct as I though it was peculiar as well. If you think about it though afer disassembly and reassembly it makes total sense with the ball being in between the "sockets".
VPW has the rebuild kits and if it doesn't have an instruction sheet give me a holler I got one that will tell you how to properly tighten the end plugs.
