At 3000 RPM in 4th (1 to 1 ratio) I am going 60 MPH. At 70 I am doing 3500 in fourth. Just listen to the sound of gas being sucked out of the tank. Would be great to have an overdrive. Of course I do not have the most fuel efficient setup on the engine. It is a higher compression with fuely (double hump heads with the smaller valves) and a 4 bbl. Oh I better be quiet or I will get slammed for not talking Mopar. But the engine was in it when I got it.
In third gear with the RPM at 3000 to 3500 it should have plenty of power to pull. Just watch your pocket empty at $2.00 + per gallon on a long hill.
