I am the victim of a mormon upbringing and have never gotten used to dark ales, stouts, whatever. My neighbors use my beer of choice (Hamms) as "thinner" when a batch is too...dark (?). Cherry Blossom Festival was going on in Portland yesterday at the Asian market, we picked up some Japanese and Korean beer (tastes a little like Hamms to me, but what do I know : ).
