That is not a 48-53 Dodge bed, I was so focused on the running board meeting the fender that I did not look at the bedsides.
Check Dun Bunn's Green Dodge Truck book, page 129, the third stake pocket should be centered over the rear wheels, and the running board should be full length.
Also the fenders looked weird to me because they are too tall, the stock Dodge ones not as tall in the middle.

It looks to me like it might be a 39-47 dually bed, if so it is three times rarer, but not correct for that truck (at least it should not be).
