There is a military kit that helps with the tuneup. I don't know the PN but post over on BigE and someone will cough it up. It's an intermediary plug that goes in the spark plug and has a tap for the timing light. I usually pull the distributor, set the points on the bench and put it back with a piece of cigarette paper as a spacer to just break the points with #1 at TDC. Once you get used to the mil spec 24v electricals, you will probably like them better because they are very robust. I never have trouble starting my M37 even in cold weather (of course, it only gets down to 75 degrees in Central Texas)...Hollis
