We (my dad and I) drove six long hours to pick up Gil's D-300 and he had told me the brakes needed work. When I got there, we started her up and guess what, the brakes worked fine! I was very upset but he gave me some manuals and a starter...and another starter and an alternator. And then I stole a distributer out his trash, so I guess that evens it out. But the nerve of some people...

Did I mention the truck was free too? : )

Never been to Twisp, WA before. Neat country, wish I'd had more time to stop in and harrass some other PW folks up north. It was a fun trip, little bit of carb problems but she drove home no worries. Picking up a "new" old Dodge is nothing but good clean fun, but I was glad to have the AAA card ready just in case. I do owe a crisp salute to all the law enforcement folks, and there were soooo many of them yesterday afternoon, who were busy out doing their work and didn't seem too concerned about an old green flatbed trying to keep up with traffic on its way to a new home.

Good luck with the move Gil, and thanks again!
