Well, it's not really done just yet but I took er out on a maintenance run last night. It did really good, just some minor (I hope) glitches, but no leaks. If what the previous owner said is true, last night was the first time it's moved by it's own power in 32 years. It would have been nice to keep the engine/drive train stock but that just wasn't in the cards. Twenty six years on the side of a road having all the engine accessories stolen, a bullet sent through the block, lift gate and tailgate stolen, wrong doors installed, rolled over on the drivers side, body fell through the floor and crushed the firewall into the back of the engine, front driveline broke, rear u-joints had no bearings, rear axle broke, tranny had three gears with no teeth, frame cracked and only held together by a quarter inch of steel. The old gold miner that owned it drove it till it wouldn't move no more. Anyway, didn't have much mechanically to work with, but the body had vrey little rust so I did have that going for me.
Thanks Phil for setting me up with a web page, you are a fine man and thanks to Joe for this site and everyone here for all your help and for putting up with some of my drivel.
