They wanted to pin my Calcaneus bone back in place and told me it would take about a year to heal totaly! I said is it together now if so leave it alone cast it and let it heal again. They complained but I was using my foot againg in 6 months. When it broke I saw a bright light fell over and told myself I realy blew it this time!! Boy did that foot swell up fast and hurt. I landed on one foot heal first as I flew over the ladder sliding down the steel roof. I thought I could catch myself but no way I was going to fast for that. I also was glad my wife was working. The laying around was the hard part. Just remember keep moving your ankles till it hurts that is the only way to make it heal up with out being stiff. That is how I got mine to be able to be walked on befor they said it could be. No pain no gain! Mark H.
