What does this tag mean on diff?

There is a galvanized piece of sheetmetal under two of the differential mounting stud nuts. It is stamped:
P O D
6 1 5 53
D 55 2%

Is this a mark of a depot rebuild? Does it mean anything?

I think my Carryall was built around November of '42. I guessed that by comparing serial numbers with others. The build date tag was gone.It has the later style axle housings and differentials. It has Bendix joints in the front axle. The broken odometer reads 06901 miles. Everything in the front end appears to be very tight with little wear.

I found several little pieces of wire on parts of the front axle-the kind of wire one would use to attach a manilla tag identiying a part. It is as if the paper tags wore away, but the pieces of wire were never removed.

The engine had been bored 30 over. That could have been done as a vo-tech project at the prison where it was used even if it wasn't worn out?
