i have a tow dolly,it was narrow for small cars a few years ago my neighbor who is a pro welder and i widened it,now it will take a full size pickup,it is the kind that steers ,not the kind with a plate that movers,i must tell you i have towed both 2wd and 4x4 pickups all over the central part of the USA using a v6 dakota believe it or not,i have never had a minute of trouble out of the dolly,never!
however,using a dakota as a tow vechile you do have a small fear factor if you need to stop suddenly,but if you stay alert and think about hitting the brakes a little early its not a problem
