Sometimes an item is for sale both ways. If any body here puts an item on ebay that you would take $500 for, will you tell me you'll refuse a local $800 offer just because its on ebay? I'll post in the auction that its for sale both ways and whoever offers the most money gets it. I also sometimes let someone else's item go off with no bids, then email him and buy it for less than his opening bid.
Ebay also won't let you sell a parts car under parts if you list that you have a title. SC law says you can't sell a car without a title.
Let the flames begin.
