I tried to take a Ditzler paint code in to a local paint supplier and have it mixed.
They told me they could not mix it off the old code as paint formulas had changed.
They wanted to help though, so they called PPG, 10 minutes later they were mixing my paint color.
It seems PPG had translated many of the old codes, and with the paint name, year and code they were able to get a modern formula.
Try that at a good auto paint supply store, and you might get lucky!
