If you're ordering U-joints from any of the P/W suppliers...be sure to ask if they are packed in cosmoline...if so, scratch them!
I bought a full set of U-joints from an un named source(not their fault) & never thought to ask. Took me 15 minutes to un-pack each one & when I got them out I had to soak them in gasoline to get all the crap off them. Once clean, I went to turn one of the cups...totally siezed. I had to take every needle out & wash them in gas, dry them, grease the cups & reassemble. 3 hours later I had 2 U-joints ready to go!
I wreak of gasoline & my hands hurt like a bugger from the gas.
Was it worth the savings you ask buying them for $15 each instead of the $25 local ones? NO!
