Terry,
Get yourself an inexpensive digital camera. Most computers now have cd burners. Store your digital images both on your computer and burn them off to cd every once in a while in case something happens to your computer. I create a new folder on my computer with the name being the date that I downloaded the images. This will give you several advantages.
1. you can see the photos immediatly after downloading and judge whether you need to get another angle, better light, etc.
2. It will be less expensive in the long run due to photo processing costs. This will allow you to take twenty photos of different angles without worrying about using up a lot of film.
3. you can easily send a photo to another forum member for advice or help.
4. you can always print out the pictures from the computer if you have a burning desire for a hard copy.
5. If you are having a problem. you don't need to wait for developing and the mail to get a copy to the person who can help.
The list goes on, but you get the idea. There are a ton of cheap cameras that would fit this task very nicely, you don't need a cutting edge camera to take a picture of a cab.
