That is called a wrap around toungue and if the trailer does not have it, and you are going to haul anything significant it could be bad. It is a good brand, Big TEX, Diamond C are some others. Sounds like it has a 12,000# 2speed jack on it. THings like that are important when jacking up the trailer with a truck still on it. good luck. make sure it has a Bulldog coupler it will say the hammer blow corp. Preferably in the 2 5/16 ball size NO ATWOODS. MY family was in the trailer buisness both building and selling but when my dad retired my brother went to wrought iron fencing and structural steel.
