Jerry, The good news is I think Will(in MI) has hit the nail on the head...I believe Mercedes is going to be good for Chrysler. I was looking at a Chrysler Crossfire yesterday at the dealer & it's by far the highest quality Chrysler I've ever seen...no question.
From what I can understand this is the first joint venture with Chrysler & Mercedes.
I don't believe it makes one bit of difference whether your car or truck was built in Germany, China, Mexico or Detroit other than the $$ per hour the worker received.
It's all in the engineering & tooling.
If US can send a camera to Mars surely they can build a vehicle that matches the German ones but I have yet to see it.
