Gee Marty, I didn't know we were in this to supply "collectors" with restored trucks !
I thought most folks were into PWs because of a love and admiration of them ?
20yrs ago when I finally got my first WM300,
most folks (I thought)just wanted to use them as well as having a love and admiration
for them. I guess the "collectors" will wind up owning most of them after most are "restored" to values above what the average Joe can afford .
If the people restoring them kept them it would not be so bad but, to buy,"restore",and resell at the unaffordable prices asked is basically selling out to the collector/investor just as happened to other makes and models of vehicles. PWs are not rare but to make PWs inaccessable to the average Joe by restoring ang asking such high prices is in fact, artificially making them rare.
It is up to each to do with his PW as he pleases but, the truth is the truth about a matter. Just because you have the right to do as you please, doesn't make what you do
right.
