Computer Help!!!

I am having really bad luck with my computer. It runs XP OS and I have been infected with a virus. The virus is keeping my computer from logging into symantec.com to update my computer's virus software and has also blocked mcaffee, neworkassociates and other virus software providers webpages. I am running out of things to try, please help.
