Sounds like it is missing,and or a lean condition.Check ignition ,points loose,tight or burnt.Abad wire or tracks in cap.A poor mans scope,put the pickup from your timing light close to the plug as u can,shine on firewall and work throttle to cause miss,if light drops out,u have found the bad wire or plug. For a lean condition,dirt in carb,bad accelerater pump,low fuel pressure. Hope this helps.
