I agree with both of you but here's the deal...only 5% of all Power Wagons look as nice as you two guys trucks...the other 95% are beat up rusty old beaters.
Do I like them? Sure I like them but they need to be repaired, painted & saved.
Look, It's no different than houses....I love old homes & would never EVER consider living in a home newer than 1915. I personally prefer a home with the original plumbing, kitchen, lath & plaster & all the original shingles on the sidewalls but guess what...most have long since been ruined, altered, rotted, renovated or whatever.
I prefer a house with no fridge, an original cooler, original tiles etc etc.
Some prefer a home with all these things except a modern kitchen & bath.
In the Home restoration world we consider this bastardizing & it's shunned but to the majority of people, it's just not an option living in a primitive old home.
Same thing here guys...I love all Power Wagons, running, rusty, restored, dented...but collectors want restored trucks & so long as they are willing to buck up there will always be guys restoring them.
Most of the restored trucks I have seen sell would not be drivable today if someone hadn't restored them.
Do you think Paul's Carry-All would be driving around if he hadn't tackled this project? How about Chris's Jungle truck?
