Will...yes that is the piece. Once removed you will see the seam where the cab roof is spot welded on the inside. On the outside is the beaded seam. I used a spot weld remover drill bit(available at auto paint store) and a cold chisel to break it free. Also the piece is attached on the sides with a mediocre amateur looking weld. I used a plasma cutter and just cut the weld part. Make sure you have it square and lined up before welding it back in I just plug welded the places the spot welder cutting bit cut.
