The first time I used it was in a 84 Dodge with a slippimg transmission. I put in type F and drove it 6 years and never replaced the transmission. I've used it in several others since with no problems. Dexron slips when it shifts to make a smoother shift thus wearing out clutches faster. Type F is a more natural fluid, Dexron has friction modifiers to make it slicker thus the slippage. I know from years of experience transmissions last longer with type F. I don't recommend putting it in OD transmissions because I haven't tried that.
