Last year, I built a ramped trailer expressly to haul PW's. I put a single ring on front and rear, then three down the side: one about where the front bumper is, one just in front of the fenders and one about even with the back of the rear tire (8 total). When I haul my trucks, one tie-down goes on the pintle hook from the rear and the other tie-down goes across the bumper from side-to-side. So far, I have never had one creep, even on rough dirt roads and I do not chain over the axle to keep from damaging brake lines.
