I'm sure grease will work fine for the limited use most of us give our trucks.
99% of the guys on this forum are using regular wheel bearing grease including myself...even in the truck I'm just restoring.
What I'm saying is it's not correct & not what Dodge intended, nor will it lubricate properly because it does get flung out of the joint & dry up.
Would I be worried about using grease in the interm because your seals need replacing? No...they'll be fine with grease in there but if you're rebuilding your front end & want it correct, I'd put in a lighter grease like Jerry's talking about once you've corrected your leaky knuckles.
