Lack o fuel

From the beginning of time I have had a fuel problem. My M-37 runs very well but after about 10 miles or so it begins to chug and completly stops like a vapor lock. I have routed my fuel line as far away from the mainfold as possible and also put a reflective sleeve on it. At one time I even installed a electric pump connected to a toggle switch to flip on when the truck began to act up but nothing seems to work. Any info would greatly help.
