First, you should not be scared of selling something overseas.

Second, shipping costs are usually borne by the buyer, so the easiest thing to do is to ship to a freight forwarder. Companies like Matson, ect. can handle all that kind of stuff as well, but usually always on a larger scale, which is where freight forwarders come in, by consolidating enough into a full container load. Just call an international freight forwarder.

Lastly, and most importantly, determine your terms. First, payment needs to be in us dollars. Second, if you can negiotiate it, payment should be upfront via cashiers check drawn on a US bank. Your FOB terms are where you are shipping from. If you cannot negiotiate upfront payment, make sure you get a non-refundable, guaranteed letter of credit from a us bank. Your bank can help you with this as its a very common thing.

In other words, protect your payment, then let the international shipping experts deal with the rest. Even UPS does that regularly and can help, depending on size and weight.
