I have a non-working farm in CA. Even if I could register the truck as a farm vehicle, the restrictions are too many to hassel with. One advantage however would be the legal ability to run non-hi-way fuels (ie: lower state and federal fuel taxes per gallon) The downside is this fuel is dyed with a dye that stains all of the fuel delivery systems, you had better not get caught on the highway with a trace of dye in your tank. The IRS is a lot harder to deal with than the DMV. = )
