You must be going back a long time, talking about cinders, because SALT IS KING in Pa. I recently read that Pa. spreads more salt on its roads than any other state in the nation. I have tried Ziebart and found that on older vehicles it does not bond well. The alternative, that I hate to use, is a sloppy oil like product that drips and oozes for about two weeks after it is applied. But it stops the rust! I wish I lived on the west coast cause I'd be driving my new crewcab now, not dissecting and protecting it to last more than 5-10 years.
