Hello:

Being a Junk man, I keep a tow bar and magnetic tow lights in the truck almost all the time, that way when I come across a screamin' deal or freebie, I can bring it home right away before somebody else snags it!
Anyhow, I have tow barred alot, and It should be safe if you use some sense. First off, put some weight in the back of the Ford, You want to keep some weight back there, otherwise the Power Wagon may decide to weave back and forth on the road, and pull the light rear unloaded truck with it, stick 500 LBS or more in it, and it will improve handling alot. a good friend of mine learned this the hard way, as he rolled a K-5 Blazier on 40's being towed behind a Chevy 1/2 ton longbox with no weight in the back. Make shure the Tow bar is super TIGHT! Take your time hooking it up. Also anticipate turns and corners very very early and start into them before you would normally. It would be a good idea with a Power wagon to have somebody set in the cab of it, and steer. I would help if I were closer! Make shure all the tires on the Power wagon are the same pressure as well as on the tow vehicle. That effects towed handling alot! I been tow barring since I was 16 and have not had a misshap happen so far. just be super safe, and use common sense! Good luck!
