John,
Real easy swap.
Email me if you want more details but there are two ways you can go to install an NV5600 6 speed...use a conversion bellhousing from Advance Adapters, in which case all you really need is the clutch housing($150 new), clutch for a later model truck, shorten your rear driveshaft, lengthen your front, move the hole in your floor 6" back & modify your transmission mount, build a bracket for your transfercase shift lever & modify your exhaust.
Option #2 is the way I went which was I used a 2001 Clutch Housing($150), used the 2001 Bellhousing(Came with the transmission), Used the 2001 Starter, Used a 2001 Clutch master cylinder & slave, 2001 Flywheel & Southbend 13" cluch(you can use your stock flywheel & 12" conversion clutch if you want) & everything else is the same as above.
Advance adapters & Standard Transmissions both offer complete kits to install the 6 speed if you want to go that route. It's not much cheaper, just a little less work.
Email if I can help...it wasn't hard & I have a list of part numbers here if you opt for the 6 speed.
