I had a conversation with a guy who has what sounds like a 1/2 ton Carryall that he wants to sell. He said it is pretty well all there, but the engine is not original (said it was a 239 DeSoto, and longer than the one that came out), the rad and water pump are damaged, and a front axle shaft is broken. He's originally from California and brought it up to Canada in 1970, drove it for a couple of years, and when the radiator damage occured, parked it and hasn't run it since. Before leaving Hayward, they went through the truck and did bearings and seals in the gearboxes and axles, converted it to 12 volts, and a few other things. Not being at all familiar with these trucks, is there anything in particular that I should watch for when I go to take a look at it?
