I vaguely remember seeing them in the early 50's. I was about 10 or 12 years old, but I remember them being impressive. My brother had a '41 Ford PU with a built flathead 59A block that would turn 93 in the quarter mile track near Santa Ana. I saw a couple of flatheads with Ardun heads at the races one day. They just don't build 'em like they used to.
